The launch of ZESPRI on international markets a decade ago amidst generic overcrowding and price dominated purchase decisions turned out to be an inspirational move. They say the proof of the pudding is in the eating, and in the case of ZESPRI, it’s probably so. In foreign markets it is not uncommon for ZESPRI branded kiwifruit to sell for twice the price of unbranded fruit. ZESPRI has achieved it’s impressive market position under constant pressure from competitors world wide by continuing to deliver premium fruit to premium markets for premium prices. Being entrusted with the guardianship of what is now one of New Zealand’s most prominent brands, is a responsibility taken very seriously at WAVE.
