At WAVE we get a great buzz from creating innovative and exciting Christmas Gifts for our clients. Not only do we love the Christmas spirit but we also love the opportunity to say thanks for their confidence and trust throughout the year. 2009 saw a new approach and instead of sending clients the same gift we gave them the opportunity to select their own gifts ranging from kite boarding lessons to chocolate monopoly! Three weeks prior to Christmas they were sent an HTML email inviting them to visit WAVE’s Virtually Christmas Cherry Tree - a special website we created where they could mouse over 150 red cherries revealing special gifts underneath. When gifts were selected we received an email notifying which client had selected which item and the corresponding cherry turned green (still being able to be viewed but not selected). We would then go out and purchase the gift. We followed up with a printed mailer as a reminder and to ensure no one missed out as the website was only live for a week. At the end of the week when all the gifts were chosen we made the final purchases, giftwrapped and hand delivered them in time for the holidays.
