WAVE was proud to be asked to design, produce and donate an invitation to a fabulous auction night designed to raise funds towards New Zealand Women’s Black Sticks Olympic campaign. The night was well supported with over $30,000 being raised. WAVE received an unexpected thank you pack including an authentic autographed Black Sticks hockey shirt. In the last issue of CONCH we invited readers to write in and nominate a deserving young hockey player who would appreciate the shirt even more than we did.
Congratulations to Mikayla Bigwood who was nominated by her mum Nicky.
We know how much Mikalya loves her hockey and who knows, maybe someday we will see her take the field and represent New Zealand and the Black Sticks at a future Olympics.
