We thought you might find it interesting too.

I came across this sign whilst traveling around the stunning remote regions of Taranaki, during Easter.
We hit a remote intersection where it was slightly vague on which direction to take - no official destination signage in sight. However, as I'm always scanning for creative inspiration, I spotted some small type of domestic-tagging on the direction-sign. So, I just had to hold up the journey - jumped out the car - and stood in the middle of the intersection capturing a stunning piece of creative Kiwi ingenuity. Is this art?? Or is it the foundation of a new typeface in the making??
(and yes, the sign is still standing there, where it should be!)

Satara Co-operative hosted their Annual Grower event on Friday which included a unique excursion on a historic Steam Train.
250 guests boarded the Satara Steamer from Kiwi360 and journeyed to Kawerau where they were hijacked by some curious characters.
All in the spirit of a fabulous "Big Day Out."

New year is more important than Christmas in Japan. There are a lot of traditions at this time of the year. This is very relevant for Kiwi companies who have Japanese clients. Japanese normally send a special new years card, but no Christmas card.
This is especially important business practice delivered on 1 Jan, but don"t be panic. It is still ok untill the 15th. If you have Japanese clients, why don"t you send them a great traditional New Year"s card.
The card is normally designed with the year of animal. It will be the year of tiger 2010.

Successfully marketing to Japanese (or any other culture for that matter) is never as easy as simply translating what you do at home. Maki, Glenn and Brendan recently spent 10 days travelling throughout Japan where we ran a series of six workshops with New Zealand King Salmon and their main distributers and importers.
We knew NZKS had a world-class product but we needed to test key sales messages, concepts and ideas to determine the best positioning and brand communication required to increase sales. Stage two of the project is to integrate our learnings into a new suite of marketing communication tools designed to position NZKS as the most premium salmon in the world.
One of the many highlights of the trip was a visit to the TSUKIJI Tokyo fish market.
It was also great to catch up with other WAVE clients while we were there. DFS in Okinawa and ZESPRI in Tokyo as well as New Zealand Trade and Enterprise.
